Thank You Mr. Atheist
But we already knew that. You really didn’t have to waste your time and money on all that research. All you had to do was read the Bible. Then you would have known upfront what you discovered in your report. But by putting empirical evidence to this known fact, you have indeed validated the Bible as being true and accurate. So thank you.
And when you see the name Darryl mentioned in the report, know that it is not me!! The report that was written, identified that there are practicing ministers who do not believe in God. Our friendly mr. atheist and company, used their own time and money to determine what many believers and ministers in the church have known for a long time (see Matthew 23:27). The big challenge though for you, is what do YOU believe?
The Bible is clear on many occasions that you need to prove your faith by the things that you do (see Acts 26:20, James 2:17-18, 2 Peter 2:5-11). Put differently, it is by what you do that people will recognise your faith. So what is it that you believe? What is it that you are doing? If you are not certain of what you believe or the life that you are supposed to be living in accordance with that belief, how then can you expect the world to recognise that you are Christian?
The report was clear that simply professing belief does not qualify you to be truly Christian. Even the demons believe in Jesus, yet are not considered to be Christian (see Matthew 8:28-29). And what our atheist friend made very clear, was that it’s easy to put up a facade and say the right things. Therefore, it is only you (and God) who will truly know what lies in your heart.
So please. I urge you. Be firm in your belief. Do not waver. Know the Word. And let it play an imminent role in your life. Then you will not waver (see Psalm 1, 1 Peter 2:5-11).
Deep down I believe, every single human being wants to honour God with their lives. I believe this because deep down every person wants to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant” (see Matthew 25:23). They want to hear it come from God; for they know that when it comes from Him, it is pure and true and without hidden agenda.
So do it!!
Live a life that honours God in all areas.

Scripture verses (NIV)
Mat 23:27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean.
Act 26:20 … repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.
Note: the context of this verse is not repentance of sin, but of unbelief in Jesus. Therefore it could be interpreted as ‘… repent and turn to God and prove their belief in God [and by extension Jesus] by their deeds [works]’.
James 2:17-18 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
2 Peter 1:5-11 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Psalm 1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Matthew 8:28-29 … two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him [Jesus]. … “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”
Matthew 25:23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
