Where Have You Been All this Time?

where have you been all this time | this is what i have to say

Many of you have noticed that I have been rather silent over the last few months, with a few of you even contacting me. Thank you. Well, like for may of you, it’s been a busy year for me. I’ve been a full time house husband for just over a year now, my wife’s had open heart surgery, and I have had more exam subjects with bigger assignments this year than I had last. But God has also taken me into a new ministry direction.

I have been an avid user of social media for a long time now, and the need arose within my local Church to help the congregation and the Church itself become more purposeful in its social media endeavors. To this end, it seems that God has opened a door into this area of the Church and I have become what I would call myself, a Church Social Media Advocate. To this end, I started my own Church Social Media Advocacy website called purposefullysocial.com. I have also started writing for ChurchMag and have a few social media articles lined up with the Baptist Union of South Africa’s national publication, Baptists Today.

Over and above that, as I have been a full time house husband for over a year, my wife has been telling me that she believes that this is going to become a ministry to the many men who are “forced” to be full-time stay at home dads. And I realised that too. So I recently launched (after my exams) a Facebook page called Homeboy’s Homestyle wherein which my aim is to speak into men’s lives on the topic of being a full-time house husband. With that, I have also launched a blogging spot on my personal website where I will be writing articles on the topic. The Facebook Page will be more light-hearted and regular, whereas the blog will be more article driven.

So there you have it! That’s what I’ve been up to.

About Darryl Schoeman

My Personal Life : challenge leads to thought and thought leads to change More than the Apostle Paul, I can say that I am the chief of sinners (really really really). But I love God and I love the Bible. So I try to live my life with the constant realisation that God is PERMANENTLY with me (yes even when I sin), and seek His presence in everything that I do (except when I sin) and in everything that happens. I share this with others so that they too can believe it and then seek to live it.
